Singapore-based quantitative investment manager Goku Technologies has appointed SS&C GlobeOp as fund administrator to its $4bn investment business.
SS&C will provide fund administration for the Goku Technologies Master Fund, including fund accounting and investor services, as the manager expands its operating infrastructure.
Goku operates from Shanghai and Singapore and runs systematic equity strategies across Asian markets, using AI models and quantitative research in its investment process.
High-volume strategy
The Goku Technologies Master Fund operates a high-volume trading strategy with substantial daily activity, increasing the operational requirements around accounting and NAV production.
Ken Chung, chief executive of Singapore Goku Technologies, said the firm’s growth had increased the demands placed on its trading and operational infrastructure.
“We are building an institutional quality operations infrastructure, so we needed a provider capable of supporting a high-volume operation with accurate, timely NAV reporting,” he said.
SS&C said its technology would provide middle- and back-office support capable of handling the trading volumes generated by Goku’s strategies across multiple jurisdictions.
The mandate will be handled by SS&C GlobeOp, the group’s hedge fund administration business.
Goku manages approximately $4bn and specialises in systematic trading across Asian equities. The firm said it is continuing to expand internationally.
