AFI people moves round-up: Week ending 5 May

King Street hires IR exec from Fir Tree

King Street Capital Management, the $22bn US manager, has hired William McGirr as a managing director on the marketing and investor relations team.

He will concentrate on North America, reporting to global marketing and IR head Vincent Dubois-Pelerin.

Mudrick makes IR hire from Partners Group

Anthony Williams has joined Mudrick Capital Management, the $3.4bn credit manager, as head of institutional partnerships.

He previously worked at Partners Group, leading investor relations and sales efforts for the Southeast region of the US. His hire follows the appointment as president of Tom Bachner, previously global head of institutional partnerships and distribution at Bridgewater Associates, in September.

Altana Wealth hires business development chief

Lee Robinson’s Altana Wealth has hired Stephen Martus to lead business development. He will head the sales, marketing, investor services and related teams based in London and Monaco.

The derivatives expert was London managing director at MUFG Securities until 2019, before co-founding Macro Hedge Advisors.
