Millennium’s Bobby Jain hires COO for new firm

Bobby Jain, former co-CIO at Millennium, is reportedly bringing on board Robert Barton of Bank of America as COO in what would be the first major appointment for his upcoming new firm.

Insider reported the news. His launch could be the biggest of 2024, a multi-strat shop which may potentially rival ExodusPoint as the biggest hedge fund start-up in history.

GoldenTree names Love chief talent officer

GoldenTree Asset Management has hired Alysia Love as chief talent officer and partner. She will focus on GoldenTree’s human capital strategy, including talent acquisition, development, performance coaching and mentorship. Based in New York, she joins from Ellery Street.

Oaktree appoints co-CEOs

Jay Wintrob, the CEO at Oaktree Capital Management, will retire in Q1 and be replaced by Robert O’Leary, PM for the global opportunities strategy, and Armen Panossian, head of performing credit, as co-CEOs.

HG hires Zuber from Thoma Bravo

HG, the private equity firm, has hired Paul Zuber as lead operating partner for North America. He joins from Thoma Bravo
