Industry reacts to UK short-selling regime overhaul

The UK is set to remove public disclosure of short positions by individual hedge funds, as its major post-Brexit overhaul of financial rules takes shape.

The government has responded after calling for comments from the industry on the current rules, which force public disclosure of short positions held by funds once they surpass 0.5% of a company’s outstanding share base.
