Marex has added Chris Lloyd, who has more than a decade of hedge fund manager and co-investments experience, to its growing capital introduction team.

He will be based in London with a focus on EMEA, as cap intro forms a key part of Marex’s prime services offering.

Lloyd joins from Andromeda Capital Management, where he was a partner in the business development team. He previously served as director and IC member at M&G Alternatives and had senior allocator roles at Windmill Hill Asset Management (Rothschild Foundation) and Islandbridge Capital.

Jack Seibald, global co-head of prime services and outsourced trading at Marex, said: “[Lloyd’s] understanding of how investment decisions are made – and what investors are really looking for – adds depth to our offerings as we support managers through institutional engagement.”

Marex has been active across its prime services and outsourced trading business, boosting teams globally in response to client demand. The appointment follows Tej Dhillon, an experienced capital markets professional, joining the Marex’s cap intro team in May in San Francisco.

Sam McMurray, head of international cap intro, recently left Marex to join Qube Research & Technologies, which has quickly expanded beyond $30bn, in a key role in external manager investments.
