Marex promotes DiClemente to lead global capital introduction

Marex has promoted Allison DiClemente to global head of capital introduction, putting her in charge of a 13-person team connecting hedge fund managers with institutional investors globally.

New York-based DiClemente joined Marex Prime Services as an executive director in May 2024 and will now oversee capital introduction teams across the Americas, UK, Middle East and Asia.

She previously spent 15 years at Barclays Corporate & Investment Bank, where she was a director of capital introduction and business development, and has 20 years of financial industry experience.

Emerging manager focus

Marex has focused its capital introduction offering particularly on emerging hedge fund managers, building an allocator network around investors actively seeking opportunities in that part of the market.

The firm said its capital introduction business now provides access to around 2,100 institutional investors, advisers and family offices globally. The team has a presence in New York, San Francisco, Dallas, São Paulo, London, Dubai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

“Capital introduction is a core part of our client offering and has played an important role in the growth of our Prime Services and Outsourced Trading businesses,” said Jack Seibald, global co-head of Prime Services at Marex.

He said the firm’s continued international expansion had created the need for dedicated global leadership of the capital introduction team.

Prime services expansion

Marex Prime Services provides hedge fund and other investment manager clients with services including execution, financing, outsourced trading, operational support and business consulting alongside capital introduction.

The appointment comes as Marex continues to expand its hedge fund services business internationally, with the group operating more than 50 offices globally.
