AFI’s Power List rankings showed how multi-manager “pod-shops” have re-shaped the industry, with nine of the largest hedge fund managers using a multi-strategy approach.

The nine manage a collective $258.4bn, or 15% of the $1.75trn managed by the 64 firms worldwide with at least $10bn in hedge fund assets.
