New Holland Capital, the $6bn US firm, has appointed Stephan Brohme as chief risk officer from Brevan Howard, where he led on US risk.
Brohme will be responsible for leading and overseeing risk management across New Holland, including the Tactical Alpha Strategy, the firm said in a statement.
Prior to Brevan Howard, he was risk manager at Capstone Investment Advisors and CRO of QFR Capital Management.
Scott Radke, CEO and co-CIO at New Holland Capital, said Brohme’s “extensive experience and expertise working alongside investment teams to effectively mitigate and strategically manage risk will be a tremendous asset across our firm.
“We are looking forward to leveraging his knowledge and skills on behalf of our global institutional client base.”
New Holland seeks to generate alpha across a wide set of diversifying strategies, with a preference for niche, capacity constrained opportunities often with emerging portfolio managers.
