Bridgewater adds third co-CIO
Karen Karniol-Tambour has been named co-chief investment officer at Bridgewater Associates, alongside Bob Prince and Greg Jensen.
Karniol-Tambour joined the world’s largest hedge fund manager in 2006 as a fixed-income investment associate and rose to head of investment research seven years later. In 2021 she became co-CIO for sustainability.
Oceanwood CCO to Cerberus
Richard Timms has left his role as compliance head at London-based Oceanwood, according to a 30 January filing. The group head of legal compliance has moved to a compliance role at Cerberus Capital Management.
The CCO role at Oceanwood has been added to CEO Matthew Turner’s responsibilities, per the regulatory update.

Eisler hires Eric Lonergan as macro PM
Eisler Capital has hired veteran macro manager and financial author Eric Lonergan as a portfolio manager. He had departed M&G Investments, where he worked on the $4bn Episode strategy alongside Dave Fishwick, late last year.

US manager JAT Capital Management has promoted Corey Gleason from controller to chief financial officer, according to a 27 January filing.

Brevan Howard’s Dubai buildout
Brevan Howard is opening an office in Dubai this quarter and aims to house about 100 staff in the U.A.E, according to a Bloomberg report.

Cadwyn Capital hires ex-Capula CRO
Cadwyn Capital has hired Parag Patel, who previously worked as chief risk officer and chair of the investment committee at Capula Investment Management.
The London-based firm’s plans are developing quickly as it builds a multi-manager platform. Patel will serve as chief risk officer and investment director at the London-based firm, working as an “on the desk” CRO working on Cadwyn Pure Alpha and future strategies.
