Welcome to the new world of alternatives

AFI’s World of Alternatives in 2023 edition is here, released online and in print this month to kickstart a new chapter in our coverage of the industry.

AFI membership

Since starting our podcast last summer, AFI has interviewed some of the leading names in alternatives. In recent months we have expanded to provide daily news, sharp analysis and deeply-reported features online.

Our aim is simple: to provide professionals in hedge funds and private markets with industry analysis, exclusive interviews and mission-critical information they won’t find anywhere else.

All content has been free until now. The next phase of AFI will make it a sustainable and long-term fixture at the heart of the alternatives industry.

While the podcast and some daily news will remain free, AFI is introducing paid membership for our premium analysis and interviews. In addition, we have used our industry experience to build a suite of research and business intelligence tools for subscribers.

Research and intelligence

In our new research section, subscribers can find our first quarterly Hedge fund launches and closures report, which rounds up activity in the sector, and the inaugural Business Development Survey 2023 report, based on our survey of hedge fund investor relations and marketing executives.

Both provide crucial perspectives on the year ahead. We are also unveiling two business intelligence tools which will help professionals monitor the sector and generate sales leads.

Subscribers can track executive people moves on a day-by-day basis with AFI’s decision-makers tracker, which uses proprietary technology developed by our data team to unlock regulatory data in real time.

The second is our tracker of launch and closure activity in the hedge fund industry, providing essential intel on the latest moves and strategies, aggregated in one place.

Subscribers to AFI Pro will get access to all of the above. Executive subscribers will also get our flagship print issue, World of Alternatives in 2023, and access to our editions archive.

A great option for those who prefer the tangibility of print, it offers a deeper layer of insight and analysis. We also offer the magazine via PDF to international members and those who prefer to read digitally.

Whether you are a manager, allocator or providing services, I hope you will find valuable and relevant intelligence on our website.
